Following are some screen shots, and basic info on how to use our system. The best thing to do, is follow these basic instructions, and just fool around with the program for awhile to get the hang of things. The system is set up so you can create folders, and subfolders where you can upload your images using your web browser, NO ftp programs to set up or configure! If you have a fast simple question, you can email us for support at webmaster@djgems.net for help. If you find that your question is going to be a bit more complecated than a few lines in a email explaine, than just forget about typing a long drawn out email, and send a nice short simple request for phone support! In your request please include the following: Your Real Name, user name and password, email address, and a brief description of your problem. We will then reply with our support number and set a time for you to call us. In most cases we can walk you through your problem in just a few minuets.

If you are having a problem uploading a file, remember only .jpg and .gif files are excepted.

Admin Page After you login you will be directed to the Admin Page. Here you can review this help file, view the amount of disk space used, and go to the Photo Upload Page to upload and manage your images.

Photo Upload / Manager Page Now that you are on the Photo Upload Page you will see that I have created your first folder, "auctions". You can keep this directory, delete it, change the name, or what ever you want to do. This is your main folder area, this is where you creat your main folders.

Photo Upload / Create New Folders Now, while you are still on the Photo Upload Page you can create new folders. The default folder names are folder2, 3, 4, and so on. You can name these folders anything you like, familypics, website, or what ever. We suggest the you don not leave any spaces in your folder names, these are going to be part of the address where you will access your pictures. If you want to seperate words in the folder names, use an underscore between each word, Like this family_pics or my_family_pics

Photo Upload / Uploading Pic's / Subfolders Now that you have created your mian folders, its time to upload some pic's. The first thing you need to do is go into the folder where you you want your pic's to go. In order to do this you will need to click "chdir" for the folder you want to upload to. When you do this, you will then be inside that folder, be it auctions, or what ever. You now have a few different options, you can now creat "subfolders" that will be inside the main folder you have just moved into. This feature can be very handy. Lets say you created a folder to store pictures for your web site, called website, now that your are inside you website folder, you can create a folder for each page of your site, i.e. home, page1, page2, and so on. Creating these subfolders is done in exactly the same way as you created the main folders. After doing this you can move into these folders the same way you moved into the main folder, by clicking "chdir", and upload your pic's into the desired subfolder. Uploading your pic's works the same way, no matter which folder or subfolder you are in. To upload a picture be sure you are inside the folder where you want the pic to be, click "Browse", this will open a directory of your files on your hard drive, select the file where you have your picture stored on your computer, click on the pic you want to upload, then click "Upload", that's all there is to it! Here's a couple more cool features our system offers! Under the "Browse & Upload" area you will see "See Also" here you have the option to upload multiple pic's at one time. Simply move into the folder that you want the pic's stored in, once inside, click on "Multiple File Upload" and you will be able to upload 10 images at one time! Last but not least, if you already have images stored on the net, you can move them to your new account here, without have to download them to your computer, and the re-upload them here. Move into the folder where you want pic's to be, click on "Add Web Files", and put in the address where the pictures are now, and just "movem on over"!!

Photo Upload Success Page After you upload your picture, you will see the "Success" file has been uploaded. After this, if you want to upload more pic's, just click on the Photo Upload link, or you can navagate your folders by way of the "Current Folder Bar", just select the folder you want from the drop down, and click "Go". Note: in order to use the current folder bar, the folder you want to go to needs to have something in it, if it does not, you will get an "error" message. If this happens, just use the Upload Photo link to return to the upload area.

Photo Upload Preview Images Once back at the Photo Upload area, you can view all the images in the folder you are in, by clicking "Preview Images". This will link you to a page that previews all your images for the folder you are in. It also provides you with a complete image link insert ready to copy and paste! What could be eaiser!!
